How to Interpret HaarLab Before and After Results
Before and after images can help illustrate potential changes in hairline design, density and overall appearance. They should not be treated as a guarantee of an identical outcome. Every patient has a different starting point, hair calibre, donor area, graft requirement, healing response and aftercare routine.
When can a hair transplant result be assessed?
During the first weeks, some transplanted hairs may temporarily shed. New growth then appears gradually. Many patients begin to notice a visible change after several months, but a meaningful assessment is often made at around twelve months. Crown development may require additional time.
What influences visible density?
Density is not determined by graft count alone. Hair thickness, colour contrast with the scalp, the size of the treatment area, growth direction and donor capacity all affect the visual result. Patients with very fine hair or a large area of hair loss may need a second session to achieve additional coverage.
Why should comparison photos be consistent?
For a fair comparison, before and after photographs should be taken with similar lighting, camera angle, hair length and styling. Wet hair, strong overhead light or a different perspective can significantly alter the impression of density. Results should therefore be considered together with the patient's original condition and treatment plan.
Which technique was used?
FUE, DHI or Sapphire FUE may be selected depending on the treatment area and individual characteristics. The technique should not be chosen solely because it is popular. Hair structure, desired density, recipient area and medical planning are more important factors.
